It could be worth mentioning the Visitor Centre in the Field of Mars, near the Pittwater Road and Kennedy Street entrances. It is run by the Ryde Hunters Hill Flora and Fauna Preservation Society, and offers visitors info about the Field of Mars and other bushland and environmental issues. It is open at weekends, 8 to 12 and 2 to 6 in summer, and 9 to 5 for the rest of the year. We also have special events, often on the first Saturday of the month.
